Randy Zhou
The internet's optimized for clicks, buzzwords, and "content" that often means filling space rather than saying something. I'm not here to add to it.
I fell into marketing, but got hooked on building. Going from 0 to 1 or 1 to 100. Experimenting. Scaling. Helping creatively-driven people bring out their best work. Making something worth paying attention to. And having fun while doing it.
Building something exciting at [redacted].
Past Lives
Wrote content for the CEO and Benchmarks team at a bootstrapped data infrastructure company of 100 generating $1.6 b-b-billion in revenue.
Developed (almost) all of the monetizable premium offers behind HubSpot Media’s The Science of Scaling.
Led content for Mavenoid and produced thought leadership on AI in product support for the CEO and VP of Product.
Landed VIA’s most Maine client, L.L.Bean, and spent my time writing about Chamois Bean Boots, Scotch Plaid Flannels, and Wicked Good Slippers.
Education
Spent four years watching YouTube, reading film theory, editing — scrolling. Apparently that's a major. And can turn into a career.
